Dear Friends,In less than 30 days it will be time to
vote for Measure A (for Affordable Housing), a game changer for our community’s efforts to end homelessness and increase
the supply of affordable housing. Support for Measure A is high, but with so much on
the ballot we need to help make sure voters know to look for this historic opportunity. To that end, we hope you will join us in
getting out the vote for
Measure A,
the $950M November ballot initiative that would dramatically increase
thesupply of affordable housing for
the most vulnerable in our community.
Thepassage of Measure A will be life changing for thousands who are struggling in Santa Clara County. Homeless individuals and families, seniors, veterans, working families and survivors of domestic violence will have more opportunities to move into a home of their own.
Measure A has been endorsed by the editorial board of the Mercury News:
“We can do this. We can end, if not homelessness itself, surely the crisis whose magnitude costs this valley far more – in tax dollars and human misery – than it would take to house the homeless in modest apartments and provide basic services they need to stay there. Vote yes on Measure A.”
The Gilroy Dispatch also recently wrote a column about Measure A and and thewidespread support that it has generated.
Help us make history and pass Measure A!
