Future of Alum Rock Community Meeting

May 18 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Hello Neighbors,

Several organizations (including SOMOS Mayfair and the Office of Councilmember Magdalena Carrasco) are working together to coordinate an upcoming event- The Future of Alum Rock.

We want to invite you to this event, as the issues are impacting all of us, especially those working on and near the Alum Rock Corridor. As you may know, we are already experiencing development in Alum Rock with limited community voice. The Alum Rock Village Plan has not been updated in over 10 years and the plan does not represent our current resident needs!

As a result, we are organizing a community event called “The Future of Alum Rock” to find dedicated, solution-driven community members who want to be strong leaders in shaping the future of Alum Rock and East San Jose.

We are inviting all community members to a conversation about the “The Future of Alum Rock” to bring awareness around development issues impacting our neighborhood and how we can mobilize to curb displacement in East San Jose.
