WHY
We need precisely this kind of supportive housing and low-income affordable housing to both end and prevent homelessness in our community.

Thanks to investments from the County of Santa Clara 2016 Measure A Affordable Housing Bond, the City of San Jose and other cities, the Santa Clara County Housing Authority, the Destination: Home Supportive Housing and Innovation Fund, Housing Trust Silicon Valley, affordable housing developers like PATH Ventures, and other private partners, we are making progress toward meeting the goals of our Community Plan to End Homelessness.

While supportive housing is proven to end homelessness, homes affordable for individuals and families with extremely- and very low incomes (ELI and VLI households earning below 30% and 50% of area median income respectively) are also in short supply in our community. New housing for these lowest income brackets is essential to prevent additional people from losing their homes in San Jose and throughout Santa Clara County.
