Regional Housing Reform with MTC and Sacred Heart
January 24 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join the participants from the Housing Ready Communities Action Network and the Sacred Heart Housing Action Committee to hear a report from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) on the recently published “CASA Compact“.
The new compact includes policy reform proposals to create revenue for, and to expedite and increase housing development throughout the Bay Area and the entire state. This community meeting is an opportunity to learn about the views of the Sacred Heart Housing Action Committee and to provide your own feedback to MTC about the compact and its reform proposals.
Fresh taco service begins at 6 p.m. and our discussion is 6:30 – 8:30.
The parking lot entrance is on Alma. You are welcome to park in the lot if you can find a space but you may need to park in the neighborhood. Finding a space at that hour is typically easy. Do not park in any nearby lots of our neighboring businesses.
Our event is in the Learning Center, on the side of the building closest to First Street.
Childcare and Spanish interpretation are available.
Although meetings of specific importance will be added individually to the calendar, these monthly meetings may be of interest on an ongoing basis:
Housing, Land Use, Environment, and Transportation (HLUET) Committee – Typically meets at 10am on the third Thursday each month. As a regular agenda item, the County Office of Supportive Housing presents its monthly system data report at these meetings. For details, select HLUET Committee in the drop-down menu in the left sidebar on the County of Santa Clara website.
Housing and Community Development Commission – Typically meets at 5:45pm on the second Thursday of each month. For details, see the Commission calendar on the City of San Jose website.
