Grant Inquiries

Grant funding from Destination: Home supports the following focus areas, which represent the most severe, and the most traditionally under-funded, aspects of our region’s housing crisis:

• Increasing the supply of deeply affordable housing, 
• Expanding homelessness prevention programs, and 
• Securing housing stability for Extremely Low Income and homeless households.

Organizations that meet the eligibility requirements and are confident they align with our priorities are welcome to submit a grant inquiry, using the form below. Please note: submitting an inquiry to Destination: Home does not guarantee funding. We may not be able to fund every request and reserve the right to decline any request. 

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a grant, organizations must meet these minimum requirements: 

1. Request funding for a specific project that aligns with one or more of the three key areas of focus listed above,
2. Be a 501c3 non-profit organization or a community group with a 501c3 fiscal sponsor in good standing, 
3. Adhere to Destination: Home’s Grant Giving Policies, and
4. Provide services and/or engage in activities or policy/advocacy work that directly benefit households experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Santa Clara County and/or San Mateo County.

Submission Process

1. Be sure you’ve read the eligibility requirements to ensure your organization is eligible to submit a grant inquiry.
2. If eligible, submit your grant inquiry using the online form below.
3. You will receive a response from our team within 30 business days after the date of submission. If your mission and proposal align with our focus areas, a member of our program staff will follow up with the next steps, which could include a meeting or full proposal. 

Please note that due to the volume of submissions and ongoing commitments to current grantees, opportunities for new funding are limited. We are unable to provide individual feedback on grant inquiries not selected for further review.
