Help Protect Critical State Funding for Housing & Homelessness Programs

California’s Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention Grant Program (HHAP) has been a key resource for local communities like ours, supporting housing and homelessness programs across the state. In previous budgets, the State allocated $1 billion annually, which has funded a wide range of homelessness programs. Here in Santa Clara County, we’ve deployed this funding to support homelessness prevention programs, interim housing operations, supportive services and several other key interventions.

Unfortunately, the Governor’s revised budget proposal completely omits this critical funding.

Without action, essential services could be scaled back or eliminated entirely, risking even more Californians being pushed into homelessness. Join us in calling on State Legislators to commit to funding the HHAP program in this year’s budget to keep these effective solutions in place.

State Assembly and Senate leadership are working right now on their budget proposal and need to hear from YOU about why it’s so important to continue HHAP funding.
