Announcing the Supportive Housing and Innovation Fund

We believe homelessness is solvable

Our community’s Supportive Housing system has housed 5,154 people since 2015 and 94% of those people have remained stably housed.

We know Public/Private Partnerships are essential to our success.

The $950M of affordable housing funding from Measure A was historic, but a significant commitment from the private sector is critical to end homelessness in Silicon Valley.

It’s up to us

We are at a unique moment in time where we have the momentum, political will, and resources in place to get the work done, but this opportunity will not last forever. We still need more partners at the table to fully realize our vision of a community where no one is without a home. Join the Fund and help us end homelessness in Silicon Valley.

We must increase the supply of Extremely Low Income & Supportive Housing

Our Community Plan has a goal of 6,000 units. Prior to 2015, of the 665,061 homes in Santa Clara County, only 348 apartments had been restricted for formerly homeless individuals and families - comprising less than .0005% of the total housing stock.

What does this new funding mean for Destination: Home?

Our partnership with Cisco will serve as a catalyst, seeding a new fund allowing Destination: Home to continue to implement the Community Plan to End Homelessness. The fund will help build supportive housing, acquire land, pioneer technology solutions, study and pilot promising supportive service interventions, and explore innovations to increase efficiency and effectiveness for our most vulnerable and homeless residents.

In the coming months Destination: Home, our Board, and our partners will continue developing specific strategies about how to deploy the new funding, but the core values of these emerging priorities will be to expedite housing solutions with a focus on flexibility, responsiveness to need, and the entrepreneurial spirit made possible by this type of philanthropic capital.
